Every rider who enjoys show jumping needs a partner who suits him/her. Horses are as individual as people. Therefore it is important to find a suitable horse. The first thing to do is to be clear about your ability and your goals. Do I already have enough experience for a younger horse or do I prefer a more experienced one? You also have to ask yourself: Does a rather larger or smaller, a rather heavy or lighter horse suit me? Am I the type of rider who rides with a little more strength due to physical conditions or am I more the sensitive rider who also likes to sit lighter?
